FlexRadio announces the availability of SmartSDR v4.2.18, a maintenance/bug fix release containing software fixes.

What’s new:

SmartSDR v4.2.18. introduces a wide range of usability enhancements across the Aurora, FLEX-8000, and FLEX-6000 series radios.
All bug fixes and some minor features are part of the SmartSDR Basic license, while new features require SmartSDR+ or SmartSDR Early Access (EA) licenses.

  • NR (Noise Reduction) – Updated algorithm for improved performance
  • NB (Noise Blanker) – Same as previous release
  • ANF (Automatic Notch Filter) – Updated algorithm for better interference suppression
  • Updated DAX – DAXv2 is a completely updated low-latency DAX driver

Available with SmartSDR+™ or SmartSDR+ Early Access™

  • Visual Band Plan, Band Edge Markers, and TX filter – The IARU band plan with band edge markers is now shown on the panadapter. In addition, the TX filter bandwidth can be displayed in the panadapter.
  • Noise Floor Scaling – Visual display of the noise floor location
  • CW AutoTune – Automatically tunes to the loudest CW signal in the passband
  • ESC (Enhanced Signal Clarity / Beam Steering) – Improves clarity using beam steering
  • DVK (Digital Voice Keyer) – Provides built-in digital voice playback
  • NRF / NRL / NRS / RNN / ANFL / ANFT – Multiple advanced noise reduction and filtering options, including LMS-based algorithms, spectral subtraction with voice detection, and AI-driven noise reduction
