Maestro C – Headset Cable Kit
- 3.5mm Microphone
- 3.5mm Headphones
- CTIA Stereo Jack Y Cable
- 1/8″ TS to RCA adapter for PTT
This is ideally used to connect your Flex FHM-3 Microphone to your Maestro C.
It will allow you to use PTT, the Hand Mic, and Headphones.
It can also be used for other microphone interfacing such as Computer headsets.
Usage:
- Connect the Y cable to the HDST connector on the rear of the Maestro C
- Connect your TRS Headset (2 black rings) to the connector that has the small HEADSET symbol etched on the jack
- Connect your TRS Microphone (2 black rings) to the connector that has the small MIC symbol etched on the jack
- Note: Microphones with a TS (Mono) Jack will not function correctly and will require a TRS connector – check with your headset vendor
- Connect the 1/8″ TS to RCA connector to the PTT connector on the rear of the Maestro C
- Connect your PTT device (hand switch or foot switch) to the RCA adapter that is plugged into the PTT jack
Test your setup and ensure you can hear correctly in the headset, test your PTT and your Mic operation. You may have to test different settings of BIAS on or off and 20db boast on or off in order to achieve SSB audio. Make sure you use the Level Meter to set your Mic Gain correctly.
