The FLEX-6000/8000 Extended Transmit Module is a supplementary bandpass filter module that can be user-installed in a FLEX-6000 or 8000 series radio. It allows transmission outside of the ham bands.
Amateur service customers needing the ability to transmit on frequencies other than those allocated to amateur service will require the following:
- FlexRadio Extended Transmit Module – factory or field installable
- A radio-specific TURF file (firmware unlock key) provided at no charge.
To obtain a TURF file, US and Canadian amateur customers must provide one of the following current and valid credentials:
- MARS, SHARES, and CAP – US only
- CFARS – Canada
International customers requiring a TURF file should contact their FlexRadio regional distributor for assistance.
Once the Extended Transmit Module is installed, a TURF file is required to activate the module and can be provided by our technical support team via a HelpDesk support ticket.
