FlexRadio is looking for a responsible Staff Accountant to ensure company financial activity and balances are accurately recorded, up-to-date, and that financial processes are well documented.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred, but we will consider knowledge and experience
  • 1-3 years of Accounting experience
  • Hands-on QuickBooks Online experience strongly preferred
  • Other accounting software experience is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Has the strong ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail is required
  • Experience with records management is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and work with deadlines
  • Position is for 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

Financial Integrity:

  • Keeps track of all credit card expense receipts, employee/contractor reimbursement requests, and bills in order to ensure they are documented and entered into QuickBooks in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Works with other team members to properly document and categorize transactions.
    • Researches and verifies latest IRS and accounting rules to keep financial records compliant.
  • Manages and reconciles credit card accounts, reviewing receipts in a timely manner to ensure accurate classification of expenses and making payments on time.
  • Tracks fixed assets and inventory assets (in conjunction with Shipping, Supply Chain & CM Manager) and ensures that actual asset counts reconcile with company books and are accurately recorded.
  • Processes invoices by ensuring that they are approved for payment and entered into QuickBooks in a timely manner.
  • Monitors financial information in QuickBooks looking for anomalies to ensure data is as accurate as possible. Identifies, documents and implements ways to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assists in performing year-end adjusting entries and prepares IRS Forms 1099-MISC and 1099-INT.
  • Assists Accounting Manager/HR Coordinator with Sales Tax Reporting.
  • Keeps Accounting/HR Coordinator apprised of any issues that arise
  • Assists with other projects as needed.
